Louro is a monovarietal white wine made from the Godello grape produced by the Rafael Palacios winery, which belongs to the D.O. Valdeorras. Made with grapes from their own vineyards, small parcels of the variety Godello with an average age of 25 years, located at an altitude above 600 metres and cultivated on sandy granitic soils and sandy soils with clay deposits. These parcels, are located in the municipality of O Bolo, surrounding the villages of Chandoiro, Lentellais, Outardepregos and Santa Cruz do Bolo. The main work concerning viticulture, is to lead these vineyards back towards a traditional and organic methods of cultivation, free of aggressive treatments for the plant and its soil. As a result, the expression of the microclimate of O Bolo and its sandy granitic soil, taking prominence in the profile "terroir" of the wine, highlighting the minerality and its saline character.
Louro is a clean Godello grape white wine, elegant, straw colour with a green rim, Louro is a wine of noble aromas which transmits its aromatic intensity from the expression of plants such as fennel and a delicate reminder of chestnut blossom, with citrus notes and an attractive reminder of wet rock. On the palate the attack is fresh and voluptuous, at the same time oily which melts into into a complex and fruity passage. Its finish is marked by the saline minerality of its soil which gives it the personality and character of a great wine.
