Georgia in 1806, the Eristoff family ventured into creating a vodka that would honor and bear the popularity of their surname. At this time, Georgia had recently become part of the Soviet Empire, where vodka was considered a religion. To create Eristoff, they decided to use agricultural grain alcohol, which they subjected to triple distillation and then passed through charcoal filters (a traditional Russian method), resulting in a clean and elegant vodka. They have maintained the same production method to this day.
For its presentation, they spared no detail. They chose a bell-shaped bottle, which made reference to the bell-shaped crown of the Soviet Empire, a wolf as a logo since Georgia was the land of wolves and a representative image of the region.
This time we have the “black” version, with an original Eristoff base, where berries are macerated and diluted with purified water reaching a volume of 20%, for its subsequent addition of sugar and thus obtaining a berry liqueur with a vodka base, with a characteristic and intense black color, which leaves its mark coloring the tongues of whoever dares to try it.
