El Senat del Montsant is a red wine from Montsant produced by 7 Magnífics with the Grenache, Mazuelo and Syrah grape varieties and aged for 8 months in French oak barrels.
In the evening, the "senators" meet in the town bar. Anecdotes, memories, old stories and a detailed knowledge of the terrain.
They know everything about the mazuela, they dominate the Grenache, and the Syrah offers no secrets for them. They have accumulated 243 years of experience, but their hearts are young and their eyes are more alive than ever.
They are the soul of the vineyards; they love them like nobody else.
The Senat del Montsant is the testimony of a culture and a way of understanding life in a region with a long wine tradition. It is a tribute to those people who maintain viticulture as a complement, for a reason that is in their soul: they love the vineyard, their work excites them and they refuse to abandon the land and the trade that they bequeathed to them.
A red wine with a ruby red color, deep and luminous. On the nose, it provides fruity aromas and hints of berries, raspberry, dairy notes and toffee. On the palate it is fruity and light, with soft tannins, balanced and with good acidity.
