Jean Leon 3055 Merlot - Petit Verdot is an organic red wine and a vegan wine made by the Jean Leon winery, located in the D.O. Penedès. It is the youthful representation of the winery's most complex reds. Made with the Merlot variety, planted in their vineyards in 1997, and a small percentage of Petit Verdot that they have grown since 2006. The number 3055 represents Jean Leon's taxi driver's license in New York and reveals the man behind the legend, the humble origin of an idealist who achieved his dream of founding the most famous restaurant in Hollywood and making a wine with his name.
This wine stands out for its great freshness, elegance and its marked notes of red fruit (strawberries, peach and banana) and a long aftertaste.
Combines with both fish and meat dishes. Excellent with the cod with ratatouille.
