Freyé Syrah Tempranillo 2024 is a barrel-aged red wine produced by Vallformosa winery, located in Vilobí del Penedès, Catalonia. This blend combines Syrah and Tempranillo grapes from organically cultivated vineyards. After controlled fermentation, the wine ages for 7 to 9 months in oak barrels, developing an elegant and balanced structure.
On the nose, it offers complex aromas of dark fruits like plum and cherry, accompanied by floral notes of lilac, licorice, and hints of toasted wood. On the palate, it is dense and harmonious, with mature tannins and a refreshing acidity that adds liveliness. This wine pairs perfectly with red meats, lamb stews, cured sausages, semi-cured cheeses, and traditional dishes like paellas and fideuás.
