It was the year 1918 when this Solera saw the light. Four generations of the same family have worked to maintain the aging account of each drop of this wine. More than a product in itself, it is a desire for continuity. A trade inherited from father to son.
In the visual phase it shows an intense but very clean mahogany colour, as a consequence of the stability achieved in wood. Subtle iodized reflections, very bright and typical of 15 years of oxidative aging. By slowly moving the glass, the tear reveals the intense degree of fructose and its natural glyceric point. It is noted that it is a fermented wine as it lacks the usual density of other Pedro Ximénez.
On the nose, the intensity of the raisin is captivating and resounding, clearly dominating over the rest of the aromas. Notes of roasted coffee and dark chocolate very typical of prolonged aging, it also has a volatile point typical of its old age that should not be confused with the volatility of alcohol. There is really no alcoholic perception, that subtlety and the aromas of raisins give it an elegant but intense touch.
Its exceptional smoothness on the palate and the subtlety of its natural alcoholic content give it great finesse. The raisined grape continues to dominate clearly, with hints of dried figs. All this concentration is combined to perfection with the roasting of the wood, leaving a very pleasant, long-lasting and difficult to forget aftertaste in its very long and endless aftertaste.
Enormously sweet, smooth and velvety on the palate.
Enormously sweet, smooth and velvety on the palate.
Fresh, mineral and pungent on the nose with almonds and bakery notes. Dry and crisp, yet rich and with a full finish.
It is an excellent sweet wine to enjoy alone or with desserts, blue cheeses, dehydrated fruits and pastries.
Perfect with tapas, olives, seafood, fried or grilled fish, Iberian sausages, fried almonds and Manchego cheese.
Very dry and light, fresh and sharp on the palate.
This Solera is created as a tribute to the Reus artist Antoni Gaudí in his last days as a veneration for his legacy.
A milestone in the dry sherries of this House. Palo Cortado 100% Pedro Ximénez grape. The first wine from this Jerez, made with this variety of grape. Result of extraordinary elegance, for an unusual elaboration in the D.O. Jerez-Xérès-Sherry.
Deep ruby color, complex aromas that include red fruits, chocolate, vanilla and a hint of tobacco. Intense and soft tannins, medium sweetness... Great!
Since 1870, his legacy is caring for the earth for future generations.
